Logging

Okera clusters generate their own logs, of which there are two kinds:

  1. Operational logs, which contain the system output of the services themselves and are not typically required to be used unless there is an issue in the cluster. See Operational Log Configuration.
  2. Audit logs, which contain all access events in the Okera cluster. These are exposed via the okera_system.audit_logs dataset and corresponding views. See Audit Log Configuration.

Since Okera is typically run on multiple nodes, it requires a shared location for logs on Amazon S3, ADLS Gen2, or Google Cloud Storage.
