Database¶
Okera uses a database to store all of its metadata and data. By default, this is a local database running on the Okera cluster itself, but this is not recommended for anything but single-node QuickStart clusters, as such data can easily be lost.
Follow the instructions for creating a suitable database server:
- For Amazon Web Services (AWS), follow the instructions in the RDS Prerequisites section.
- For Microsoft Azure, follow the instructions in the Azure SQL Prerequisites section.
- For Google Cloud Platform (GCP), follow the instructions in the GCP Prerequisites section.
